Benefits and Drawbacks of Quartz Countertops:
Selection: As a manufactured stone, the selection of quartz is only limited to the imagination of our suppliers. While white is by far the most popular colour, quartz can be found in a wide variety of colours and patterns, from speckled to veined, and everything in between.
Flawless Consistency: If you’re looking for consistency, quartz countertops are the stone to beat. Manufactured for dependability, quartz does not deviate from piece to piece and will provide a uniform surface for all your needs.
Durability: Quartz is made by combining quartz pieces (anything from pebble-sized to dust) with resins to hold it together. While quartz pieces themselves are virtually indestructible, there are a few things to remember when it comes to the resins. Not all resins are created equally, and prolonged exposure to sunlight (think outdoor kitchens), excessive heat and acids can alter your finishes. We tested our stone… check out our results here
Maintenance: Quartz countertops are virtually maintenance-free. Unlike granite, quartz does not require sealants. Prevent stains by wiping spills promptly and you’ll have beautiful surfaces indefinitely.
